General Manager Opportunities

Background

The foundation and key to the success of the Penn Station® system is our unique General Manager program. The performance of the General Manager has the most direct correlation with the overall performance of the store. Our philosophy is incenting the General Manager to assume an "ownership mentality" for his or her stores. Ensuring that customers are being taken care of, motivating employees, monitoring costs, and keeping the store clean are just a few of the "little things" that an owner would do to generate repeat business from customers and increase the store's bottom line. A General Manager who is compensated and treated like an owner will tend to adopt that type of behavior, and do whatever is necessary to maximize the profitability of the store as it is in his or her own best interest to do so. Under this program, the General Manager's pay is structured to allow him or her to share in the store level profits that he or she has had a direct role in creating.

Compensation

Penn Station requires of itself for company-owned stores and of its franchisees for franchised units that General Managers have a signed, written employment contract, containing a compensation package which includes a monthly base salary, a percentage of the store's profit and a significant Performance Evaluation (PE) bonus based on the store's compliance with the Penn Station Operating Manual.

Opportunities

We are looking for highly motivated individuals interested in the benefits of operating a business without the financial commitments of ownership. To become a General Manager of a Penn Station® Restaurant is an opportunity to participate in the growth of one of the "hottest" quick-service restaurant concepts in the Midwest. Open positions are currently available. At a minimum, we expect qualified candidates to have at least three years of related restaurant management experience. If you are interested in determining your own destiny and have the required background, please fill in the form below. We will contact you as soon as possible:

"I went to Penn Station last night to get some dinner. When I entered the store there was already a long line of customers. It was a crazy amount of people in a Penn Station... Anyway, the three guys worked so well together it was amazing. They were like a well-oiled machine; helping each other out on the registers, oven, fries, etc. I was in and out of Penn Station in record time for the number of customers, and throughout it all the three guys working were polite, happy and friendly. I just wanted to say thanks for making my night great with great food and an awesome experience."
